Installing and Starting the ADSM Utilities

If you decide to install the ADSM.SERVER.UTIL component after installing the ADSM server, use the procedure documented in "Installing the ADSM for AIX Version 3 on AIX 4.1.4 or Later", and at step 8, select adsm.server.util. The ADSM Utilities access configuration and administration utilities for the ADSM administrator.

Starting the ADSM Utilities

Start the ADSM Utilities with this procedure:

1. Change to the /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin directory:
   

   cd /usr/lpp/adsmserv/bin

2. Type:
   

   adsm
