Purpose
The LIGHT_SYNC directive ensures that all instructions prior to LIGHT_SYNC complete before any new instructions can be executed. This allows you to synchronize between multiple processors with minimal performance impact, as LIGHT_SYNC does not wait for confirmation from each processor.
