Guide and Reference
- Parallel ESSL Release 2.0 provides a new set of subroutines that are
callable from application programs written in High Performance Fortran (HPF).
The HPF subroutines covers the same range of mathematical function that the
message passing subroutines cover.
- The Dense Linear Algebraic Equations subroutines now include solutions to
linear systems of equations for complex general and complex Hermitian
matrices.
- The Banded Linear Algebraic Equations subroutines now include solutions to
linear systems of equations for real positive definite symmetric band
matrices, real general tridiagonal matrices, and diagonally-dominant real
general tridiagonal matrices.
- New short-precision versions for the Fourier transforms subroutines are
provided in the product package.
- Parallel ESSL Release 2.0 supports clusters of IBM
RS/6000* workstations.
