Using Removable Media Devices with ADSM

Removable media devices can be used with ADSM for the following purposes:

• Storage of client data that is backed up, archived, or migrated from client nodes
• Storage of database backups
• Exporting data

You can configure your tape and optical devices using the Device Configuration utility, which is one of the ADSM Utilities, or you can configure them manually.
