- The ACL 4/52 library has a load port (Entry/Exit Transport Assembly)
containing four cartridge slots. Currently ADSM considers that this
library has only one slot (which is the top slot with element address 64) of
the four. All ADSM Entry/Exit operations must use the top slot.
- Suggestions for configuring the ACL 4/52 for the ADSM server:
- Power-up State: the recommended setting is online.
If set to offline, manual intervention is required to bring the
library up for use by ADSM.
- Automatic Drive Cleaning: set to either host initiated or
fully automatic. When set to fully automatic,
ADSM will ignore cleaner cartridges with proper bar code labels and will wait
while drives are being cleaned.
- Retry Option: use the default of retries enabled.
- Auto Load: must be disabled.
- Auto Inventory at Power-up: must be enabled.
- For any other configurations and settings, refer to the documentation
about your library.

The number of storage slots and drives varies depending on the
configuration of the library. The Kodak System 2000 ADL accepts
10.2GB and 14.8GB media. The formats are DRIVE, 10200MB,
and 14800MB. If the Kodak System 2000 ADL contains mixed media, the
10200MB and 14800MB media have the same effect as the DRIVE media. The
new keywords are described in the product documentation for the Kodak System
2000 ADL.

Although the Philips LMS has a shuttle and a WORM drive, it has one SCSI
ID and one logical unit (LUN). Therefore, configure the Philips LMS
through SMIT twice (once as a library and once as an optical disk).
Specify the same SCSI ID and LUN combination in the CONNECTION address
field.
